Sal, best choice. The water, the sand, the cold drinks and the people are more that reason enough not to work. It's wonderful. You will go back refreshed planning your next trip.

Yeah, if you can avoid work it's great. Only person ever able to track me down in Belize has been the senior partner. I spent an hour on the phone with him answering questions about a client. If I recall correctly we both billed that hour. I probably should have registered, got a permit and paid some taxes, but I was only there for a few days and I was busy trying to figure out where I could score some weed. [Linked Image]

trying to stay out of this...but i think the inference regarding taxing was meant for people who live there more-than-half-to-full-time, not tourists/visitors. (like that actually even needed saying. c'mon!)

LA - you should have come to Tx. No work issue and you wouldn't have been trying to score, you'd been looking for a Taco Bell. LOL

If you do not end up bringing your own printer (which you could always donate to any one of the schools or library at the end of your stay) I would have to go with Phil and vote for gecko or Mousepad - there is also the new one where Coconet used to be Pelican internet on front street but I have not tried it yet.

(on a side note, I have seen immigration be ok with telecommuters before. It may be circumstantial and if the person is not just dead wood within the community)
