LOL... paradise parasite, I love it, now I can put a name to it! I just finished Don't Stop the Carnival a couple weeks ago and chuckled through the whole thing! I, too want to make the move to paradise someday, starting to save up now!

Vikki....it's very easy.....when you get on the plane....just wait till he gets up to go to the bathroom and you grab the laptop and you head for the ladies room.....stuff the laptop in the trash receptacle....and hurry back to your seat.

When you go to get off....of course....he will be searching for it.....tell him it must be stolen.

You can make a claim with the airlines and when you get home he can get a new one.

In the meantime...you won't have to worry about that pesky laptop for the entire trip.....LOL

Wow...this same thread was going through my head about 2 weeks ago. I have been researching etc..and STILL trying to convince hub that the life of simplicity is where it's at. His biggest concern of course is our 3 children..13..5..3. He's an incredible muscician (sax)..but is in real estate right now to pay the bills. It sucks..we NEVER see him!!

It'll probably take years to convince him..but when we do make the plunge..it'll be well thought out. I know we'll eventually take the plunge..'cause I never give up. *grin*

Our first step of many will be to get a "feel" sometime next year when we visit my parents in SP. I'm confident he'll be hooked then. *fingers crossed*
