I think it's an excellent idea.

In order for a physician to practice in Belize, they must be licensed in Belize. That is not easy.

There in lies the problem. Whether it is physicians trying to save lives or businessmen trying to bring in some vegetable that Belize does not produce, the Belize government makes it almost impossible. It is truly time for the government to extract their collective heads from the sand and do what is best for not only the 300,000 plus Belize citizens but the countless other tourists who come here or would like to come here. Just a thought.

What Belize really needs and would probably license is an oncologist, possibly a geriatric specialist as well.

Getting licensed is one problem, earning enough money to make it worthwhile is a whole nother problem.

Not everyone is in it for the money. Some would want just enough to get by... with the side benefits of saving lives and living in paradise.

Wonder how come the Belize gov won't let foreign doctors come here and practice medicine, and what might happen to the country if they did?

I'll be happy to discuss my avatar with anyone who knows what it is.

Amanda, what is the status of the hyperbaric chamber. I heard it was gone permanently? I meant to look but did not.
