Jules Escalante reported that the ACES Apprenticeship Program is working on an aggressive advertising program to include the newspapers, radio and television as well as flyers posted in store fronts around town.
Be An Apprenticeship Program Mentor
The Apprenticeship Program needs mentors to function as the "go-between" for the apprentice and the employer as well as mentor the apprentice in learning his or her new skill/trade.
What's required to be a mentor? Only a small part of your time. Meet with the apprentice at the start of the program, with the apprentice and the employer at the 6 week evaluation, and at the completion of the 12 weeks. Should the apprentice need help during the course of the program you'll be there to assist in any way you can.
The number of apprentices ACES can enroll depends on the number of mentors we can find.
