Our first trip down, in 2005, we were adopted by a beautiful white dog, who followed us back to Coral Bay and was there when we got up the next morning. She was as sweet as she could be, and we knew she was well cared for. Turns out she was named Charley and is an icon on the island . .all regular boarders know who she belongs to and where she lives. The issue with poisoning is that the method makes no distinctions . . . they ALL die.
We have been adopted again the last two trips down. I hope both of these sweet animals are still as alive, happy and friendly as they were when we were blessed with their company.
