Amanda is right about the difference between being robbed and burglarized. There was a burglary on the north end of Tres Cocos a couple nights ago and some stuff got stolen. Luckily no one was robbed or hurt. Haven't seen a whole lot of problems in Tres Cocos lately though. Lets hope this is an isolated incident.

Coco Locos was burgalurized Monday night also.

I am aware of 2 private homes North of Ak'Bol that also experienced attempted break ins the same evening. This is not the norm! It appears that we need to step up our neighborhood watch efforts at the moment.

Please note that the island is no different than the states, where the best protection against crime is neighbors communicating (via every avenue possible- including this one) and taking extra care to watch out for one another
