Take your rash over to Maria's Fruit Stand across from the BYC. She can mix up a concoction for anything from a bug bite to wheezing.....she is good!

If your latest affliction hits you while you are in or just after you've been in the water, then you should try vinegar. If it is a bug bite, take an anti-histamine (liquid benadryl works best) and apply cortisone cream, both available at any pharmacy and probably places like Super Buy. Aloe is good for lots of things and the advice about local remedies is always good too.

Once you are out of the water, keep everything dry. If you are doing a bunch of biking and hiking and swimming, you'll be wanting to keep your netherparts as dry as possible. Don't forget to keep something on your feet, no matter how tempting it is to walk barefoot in the sand.

Always treat a cut immediately.

Learn to keep your distance from things growing on the reef and wear a skin for accidental brushes. But frankly, if you don't have enough control to keep from touching the reef, stay the heck away from the reef. Everytime you touch it, you are killing something that has taken years to grow.

And don't forget . . have fun out there, lol.

The beauty of trying Marias potions are that it if does not work as a cure all, It very well could have a second use..... It could be very tasty as a snack, or make a good drink mixer...... laugh

yeahhhhh rash or bite or whatever look worse this morning. just gonna hit a doctor to be safe. thanks for all the good advice everyone I will definitly pick up some stuff from the pharm while Im intown today.

seashell - im very careful not to touch the coral and stuff. i have dive gloves for if i absolutely have to. getting a skin isn't a horrible idea either though. i might just wear it around the island full time so i dont keep getting bit, stun, and poisoned haha

If you get a fever, trouble breathing, severe itching you will have to get a visit to the Dr. There are some serious nasty buggies around - if your body reacts badly no amount of waiting and wishing will make the symptoms go away.

Keep having fun.

Please post what the cause of this is/was. Almost looks like a detergent alergy but it is only in one place on your leg

does Belize have poison ivy?
did you put ant neo sporin ointment on it when it first appeared?? (neosporin when put on a large area will cause poison ivy type rashes.
