I went on the Bacalar Chico trip last November and thought it was wonderful. You get to see the entire back side of the island, lots of birds on the little cayes, stop at a museum and glide through the Mayan Channel, with Belize on one side and Mexico on the other. Plus SEArious had great snacks on board. A couple of snorkel stops, then we had a delicious beach BBQ at Tranquility Bay and hung out on their gorgeous beach for a couple of hours, swim, go to their bar and jump off the dock into the ocean. One of the best tours I have done! Can't think of a better Thanksgiving Day ever...

I agree with Laurie I have done Bacalar Chico on a field trip with Kids in Action and it was a great trip - went all the way up the back side of the island stopped to eat lunch on the boat at a beautiful spot - Stopped at San Joan Visitors Center - Crossed over to the front side - Stopped at Robles Point then headed for home.

Thanks for the pics and memories TG! I went on a somewhat windy, cool day (ocean was a bit rough) and I didn't take any pics of the channel because I was too "busy" looking at the jaw dropping scenery.....

I agree it is Jaw dropping Laurie - not sure why more people do not do this tour is such a great one for something closer to home when staying here.

If you really want to impress with your adventures, go to ATM. It was incredible (and I am impressed that I made it without killing myself)!
