Come out and enjoy the fist film to be show to the public at the new Paradise Theater.
SKIN will be shown, an amazing award wining independent movie, a true story. SKIN is one of the most moving stories to emerge from apartheid South Africa: Sandra Laing is a black child born in the 1950s to white Afrikaners, unaware of their black ancestry. Her parents are rural shopkeepers serving the local black community, who lovingly bring her up as their 'white' little girl. But at the age of ten, Sandra is driven out of white society. The film follows Sandra's thirty-year journey from rejection to acceptance, betrayal to reconciliation, as she struggles to define her place in a changing world - and triumphs against all odds.
The opening arrival ceremonies start at 7PM with the movie starting at 8PM. An all inclusive after party follows at Reef Village. $50BZ contribution for the evening. Free bridge pass too! Tickets are available at Island Gear across from the Belize Yacht Club and Reef Village's front desk.
Come be a part of the island's history and support the Belize Film Commission.
