Hi Kevin,

We'd love to help. I just looked through your messages and would suggest The Palms or Sunbreeze Beach Hotel with pools, and close to San Pedro southern limit. Also, Tropica Beach Resort and Banana Beach Resort have pools and are about 1-½ miles south of town on excellent Mar de Tumbo Beach.

Coconuts Hotel, Caribbean Villas, Corona del Mar, and Mata Rocks are great choices with no pool but good reports from many visitors.

Any one of these would be a good choice for me.

Never heard of Belize Beach Hotel but you never know what's been started in the last few days. You say it has a web site. Please give us the address and maybe we will recognize it.

Keep on posting.

Belize Beach Suites can be found at . . .

BelizeBeachSuites.com

It looks nice enough but no one seems to have heard of it so we are sceptical. . .

Sheesh, Kevin, that place looks pretty nice doesn't it? I wonder why no one here has heard of it. Looking at the pictures and the writeup, I'd be tempted to stay there too, even though I like to be south of the cut.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Kevin,
We were at the Playador in February. The nicest staff, very cool beach bar-The Crazy Canuck-pool was pretty small but very clean-restaurant wasn't open yet. The location is great!
My comment on the rooms... they are good for Belize. Don't expect the Hyatt, but they were clean, air-conditioned, have a tv, small kitchen with half-fridge and a microwave.
Have fun!
PS: If you stay there and dive with tuff enough, tell the guys that Vicki and Butch sent you!!!

We stayed at Caribbean Villas which I can only HIGHLY recommend after seeing all the choices. You can use the pool at the more hotel like Banana Beach resort a short 5 minute walk away.

Some people like "full service" resorts with restaurants, bars, shops and activity directors, some like low key condos without bars and restaurants.

Maybe if you specify what type of accommodation you're seeking, you'll get the scoop.

Whatever---have fun when you go. It's a delightful place.

kevin be sure that your interests will be looked after from each of these resorts before u make a choice and at no extar cost. For example, transportation to and from the resort for personal reason or even diving if thats what your interested in. Once those are covered your choice should be a lot easier.
