Well, check the post I made about the Transportation guy. I swear, before the town roads were paved at least three or four times during the rainy season, the roads were graded. I'm sure I waved to the road grader guy with a big smile several times a year....and I didn't even live here then!

when i was down there a month ago they were clearing the roads on the right hand side for new power poles to go way up.....anyone got any pics

What good is a nice new road if the bridge is broken? It was never intended to carry loaded 10 wheelers. 60,000lbs. They have already done serious damage to the bridge. Rocket scientists at work at the town board again?

I guess its the priorities I dont agree with, Ministry of Works could fix San Mateo and all our roads if the political will was there. Notice how fast this project is going, obviously there is political will behind it. Poorer, working class neighborhoods are being ignored for the most part in favor of fluff.

San Mateo is not hosting the Prime Minister and the Presidents of the neighboring countries next week. . .

But they will take them by there and show them how our government has empowered the citizens by giving them all a piece of land of their very own....won't they?
Surely Jr. will want to show how he got elected!

When is this bloody meeting? Hardly slept a wink with a procession of trucks running through Boca del Rio ALL NIGHT again.

Ironically I watched two episodes of Boardwalk Empire last night and it could be set right here in Belize with a different backdrop. Scandalous that this level of project can happen at the whim of politicians, for politicians, but the people who need help most go unheard.

Looks like business as usual to me. Got to get ride of the PUDP.

We should go on strike!! not pay for bridge passes when the road is bad and see what happens, cause it is really nice to have the roads fixed up for many reasons.
