The Sand Box, and Amor Y Cafe, Rosa's and Habeneros, all within 2 minutes. BUT, since nothing is really far away, it's all good.
I would give Seaside Cabanas an A+.

I was looking pretty closely at Seaside Cabanas. Did you have a rooftop terrace room? Those look great. But I did read where they said the beds were pretty worn ... I love a comfy bed if I can find one!

You are going to be staying in town by default. It is five blocks by three. All the hotels are in town. With a bike it is more fun for many people and brings everything less than two mins away.

No matter where you end up staying, you will love Caye Caulker. It is the best place and the people are wonderful. Let us all know where you decide to stay!! And when you go, get the chicken from Syd's, wonderful food!!!

Thanks Windy! The little we saw last year was awesome, so I know you are right. We've stayed in San Pedro the last two years. We only have a total of six nights and my husband still wants to stay part of the time on Ambergris ... I'm shooting for three nights on each, but have a feeling that we're going to be sorry we didn't stay more!

Hello,

Glad you were leaning towards Seaside Cabanas. Thanks for the recommendations those who gave them.
Don't worry about mattresses, they have all been replaced in the last 3 months.
PM me if you decide to book and I will make sure you have some drinks vouchers waiting for you in your room and you get the best room available.

Regards

Simon

Repeat what Windy said.....fried chicken at Syds it's not to be missed. I live in the states where chicken joints are a dime a dozen so I heard all the hooplah abt Syds and I was pretty reluctant. I mean travel all the way to Belize and eat fried chicken...really? One meal and you will be a believer.

Aww, thanks Simon! I love free booze, so that could seal the deal ;o)

We'll definitely have to also put Syd's on the list ... sounds yummy.

WOW!!
Free booze, better book ASAP. If I hadn't already booked for the end of April, I would book now. Easter on Caye Caulker, cannot wait.
AND the last time we were there, the bartender made great drinks AND he was our taxi driver to the airport. Really nice guy.

Really nice staff.

Enjoy.
