I believe you may want to get your facts straight about the Petersons. Yes there were some issues when they were in control and they were arrested 12/2010.Sam and his management crew have done a fantastic job on this project and will finish it soon.
The people here are not made up and have given their account of what has/is happening , nothing more.

...because promotion, also known as advertising, usually comes at a price. Why should Sapphire Beach owners be allowed to promote themselves for free on this site when other properties must pay for their advertising?

Hi, Debbie here, owner of unit 20D. We have been to San Pedro 4 times in the last year. We bought last April when we were down there. We were also there last August, December and this past February. I can tell you that so much more has been done these past few months now that the Petersons are not involved anymore. Sam Gomez is an honest man and is doing great things up at Sapphire. All of the owners are staying in touch with each other via email and we are receiving updates from Sam on a regular basis. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone! Go look for yourselves and you will see the GREAT things going on up at Sapphire!!!

Sorry for the possibly "dumb" question, but with the many stop and start projects you see along the beach, especially up North...where exactly is Sapphire Beach located?

It is approximately 9 miles North of the Bridge.

Sapphire beach is actually 11 miles north of the bridge.

IMO it is time for a new planning board to deal with proposed developments only. It'd be made up of respected existing and successful developers, honest real estate brokers (OK, that's a long shot), a member of the Ambergris Caye Planning Committee and a member of the Town Council. First question they'd ask any developer is "Show proof that you own the land outright"...and after that they'd determine if the location and development plan was viable. If it was deemed to have a 25% chance of failure or more it'd be denied permission to continue.

Sorry, there too many stalled and failed developments on this island which tarnish the reputation of the honest and successful developers who do such great stuff here.

Sapphire Beach, quit making up Message Board users to place bogus praise on a public forum, just get on with your development and good luck to you. As far as I am concerned you're coming across like a Ford Pinto owner, saying how wonderful it is while desperately trying to find a buyer before it explodes in flames.

hmmmm. there certainly has been an explosion of new members ready to say how great things are now.

i looked up 20 of the people who are saying these glowing reviews, and all are from different IP addresses.Unless someone is a spoofing expert, there is no one person sending in a bunch of new members from one computer.

we check the email addresses at registration. and these are not a big pile of gmail accounts or whatever, like someone went out and got 20 quickie email accounts and signed onto the board as 20 people.

but it is certainly odd.

Not odd Marty, just that those that have just signed on to your site were only browsers untill now. When we started writing in, they too jumped on the band wagon but had to sign up. No secret there.

That was what I tried to point out. In any case I agree with the member who questioned why Saphire Beach should get all this free promotion. Or maybe even manufacture all this free promotion, whether the new message board members are real or not.
