I've heard quite about about the weather there lately - what's the outlook for the upcoming week?

Today is BEAUTIFUL.

Glad to hear it, Diane! I was curious what the outlook is (I hope it's not stormy the whole time!), and if the mosquitos have got bad yet! We definitely would like some sunshine, and to get some scuba diving in as well. I can't wait!

Thanks, I saw the forecast calls for thunderstorms today through Monday - wasn't sure if that meant rain ALL day, or just a passing storm here or there. Never been and I have no idea what to expect Thanks, Diane.

sunshine broke through around 10:30 and for a while it was very sunny, then a downpour at 12:30 .... but if you look at the weather map it appears that the clear skies are not far away

Melinda - the weather is clear and sunny and the weather map looks like it's going to be that way for your arrival.
Enjoy. (and FLY in to the island - if you were to pick a place to "spend" the extra $130, this would be IT !! Best thing you could spend that money on. Truly.)
Try for a window seat on the right side - you will be looking over the reef that way.

Melinda, life is full of surprises, good and not so good. A rainy day on Ambergris is better than a sunny day anywhere in the states. JMHO
