Boca del Rio is on Ambergris Caye, east side before the bridge. That's my neighborhood when I'm in San Pedro so if you find any gold coins there, especially if they are big ones, they are mine, all mine!!!

Okay, if I find any I will like a submissive slave turn them all over to you. Does this sound like something I as a sovereign individual should do?

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread. Remember, if you ever find a gold coin or two you can always inform us by using a different user name and not the one that people can identify you with. I can understand those of you who do not want anyone to know that you found gold. It is something that is going up in value while a lot of things are going down in value and you do not want anyone to steal it from you....legal theft is included in this definition of the word "steal".

It's legal if it's not illegal.

I don't know if metal detectors are legal but can't imagine a reason why that would be true. I do know that years ago a crowd of us went treasure hunting and we used metal detectors, including ones that could go into the water.

We found silver. Coins, spoons, shoe buckles. And musket balls.
