Ramon's, Journey's End or Captain Morgan's? Where would you stay if you were looking for quality accommodations, great service, good food, and in general, the perfect spot for your Sept. Honeymoon?

Please give us some thoughts....Thanks!

Have you thought about The Victoria House?
It is a very nice, small resort about 2 miles from town. We just got back and there were several honeymoon couples staying there. They have a honeymoon guest cottage as well as individual caitas and some regular hotel rooms in the main building. I don't know what your price range is but you should consider checking it out!

If you like to stay in town past 8 p.m. dont stay north of the cut (morgans and journeys end are)

In my humble opinion NOTE: THE FOLLOWING IS JUST MY OPINION.

Ramons is a little over-rated.

Banyan bay, is where we we stay if we dont rent a house next time.

But the Victoria house looks fabulous

My vote would be for south of the cut, unless you two love birds are looking for a little seclusion.

---please note that the above was just an opinion of one man, and although you may want to disagree, please realize that my opinion is not up for public arguement.

thankyou and continue on with your day.

I would agree with those who mentioned Victoria House. We were married there two months ago and it was the perfect honeymoon spot.

Of the choices you gave, my personal pick would be Victoria House. It has an excellent reputation.

Unfortunately Victoria's House is closed from mid-Sept to early October...we will be in Belize 9/17-25...Any other suggestions???

Why stay south of the cut?

Basically, the North part of the island is inaccessable* when they stop running the hand bridge in the evening. IMAHO Ramon's will be wonderful for a honeymoon. I would just book it and put that part of the prep to rest. Unless you are very picky you will be pleased. If you want privacy but with freedom to move around at will, Ramons will be great.

*water taxis and private boats are available but can be a hassle.

Banyan Bay would be a great choice. In my estimation better than Victoria House, if only for the location. (A comfortable walk to town).

To get to the north side of the island one must depend upon a hand fery (no dark hours) or a water taxi. Neither is much of a problem at all, although it is just one more thing that you have to plan around. From Journey's End or Captain Morgan's water taxi is really the only practical alternative.

Personally we find it convienient to be able to WALK to the store or to a wide variety of restaurants. On the other hand we are spoiled rotten, but intend to stay that way.

My vote is for Journeys End. We just spent a week there and it was great!! It was quiet, relaxing and very romantic! Going into town was fun, ferry runs late. Town was great but wouldn't stay there, too noisy, dirty. Diving and fishing were awesome!
