San Pedro Scoop rocks too! Hilarious at times...if you didn't "poke fun at things on the island and call things into question" it wouldn't be what it is! Keep at it gals. smile

And think of all the things you learn from both blogs that you might never have stumbled onto. Very helpful and informative, as well as making light of certain situations.

I wouldn't put my blog in the same category as San Pedro Scoop -- she is truly a professional. I am addicted to her blog and have learned SO much from it! But if my little blog helps anyone or gives a smile or laugh now and then, then that's great. As I said above, I really just started it for friends and family "back home" so they could better understand our life here on Ambergris Caye. It's certainly not intended to be anything official and is completely non-commercial. Just one couple's experiences living on this fascinating island!

We love your journal, i look for yours, Tacogirls and Brusselsprouts new postings every morning. I am addicted to them. When friends back home ask us about our new life here i direct them to read all the blogs.
We have the same experience with the bicycle rack at Super Buy, and everywhere else. A lot of The golf cart owners have no consideration of how and where they park. But that wasnt what you were blogging about..

Thanks Surendra!

Don't worry - I'm keeping my blog public unless things get out of hand. I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I've gotten; I honestly had no idea how many people were reading and enjoying it, and that makes me very happy. smile

IMHO - Super Buy is a challenge and an enigma even on a normal day.
Challenge - Inside you find that the isles are very narrow and the ladies-who-dust-and-straighten seem oblivious to the carts trying desperately to get through.
Enigma - I found a goodly supply of ferret food along side cardinal bird-feed in the pet-food section one day.
Parking anywhere ...... Golf-cart driving means you can park (and drive) with a certain - shall we say abandon? Apparently on the two times a year I drive a car, I apply the same (golf cart inspired) style, much to the dismay and/or amazement of others. The difficult part to remember is that when you hit a car with a car there is a lot more damage than when you hit a cart with a cart. Definitely don't use your SUV to push a Porsche out of a tight parallel parking space.
And yes, when Super-Buy does not appeal, I do shop elsewhere ...... but definitely on the island.
:-)
