Very sad to report that Capt. Jeff Kivet passed away a couple of days ago. http://www.facebook.com/jeffrey.kivet

Very sorry to hear that a very very nice man, new him for years and we named a dish after him when we had Tastes of Thailand Restaurant, San Pedro.

What a great guy - always smiling - happy - friendly. I'm so sorry I put off going fishing with him. Capt. was truly a friend of San Pedro and was very generous to so many people. This brought a tear to my eye and reminds me to live for today!

I am heartbroken. Although I never met Jeff, I spoke with him numerous times while making arrangements to rent his condo. A warm generous man who will be greatly missed.

Very sad to read this bit of information.

Never met him either but he donated some money to help us buy a lawn mower for our school and we were / are ever so grateful for it.

Condolences to his family .
