I counted Jeff as a friend and a neighbor, it is a sad night to know we will not have good conversation this winter.

You will be missed by many Cappy...

How fitting that your last post just a few days ago was offering fishing help to someone...

This is truly sad news. He was a very gracious and giving man. He did live his dream.

We are so sorry to hear this, we were fortunate enough to meet him on our second visit this past May. We shared a day fishing with Jeff on Pete's big boat, we learned the "Barracuda Dance", and shared a couple of dinners and his favorite breakfast at Estel's.

Keep living the dream Jeff, you will be missed!

Sad news. We spoke on the phone every so often. He always had such a positive outlook and loved to laugh. I enjoyed our meals together on the island and always loved to hear about his travels and his family.

Our Friend, our Captain: Jeffery Kivet. Our only condolence is he was NOT cheated in life. He lived it to the fullest. The San Pedro Lions appreciated his anonymous support.

It's really good to read all of the comments here... yes, reaper, he had a lot of good memorable quotes and it's funny to remember him that way.
He was a very giving man. Really honestly willing to help people and the community.
I'm glad I got to see him, if only briefly, during my last trip down.

This really sucks.
