Clover, not sure how to say this,
maybe a cliche "no smoke without fire"
I believe there is sufficient suspicion and probable/possible evidence to warrant his actions if he has something to hide. I believe either he or the people he employs knows what happened and maybe have implicated themselves and him.
If the authorities believe the same thing and have evidence to back it up, it would fully explain his actions.
What we are probably seeing is smoke and mirrors and a pathetic attempt at that.
His behaviour would not be tolerated in the U.S. or the U.K. why should it be tolerated here.
The problem is law enforcement resources are sparse, I believe he knows that and that he is taking advantage of it.
So really it's just a matter of time.

"Knowingly in the presence of illegal objects" is the same crime as failing to report information about stolen goods or other crimes in the states. Can't happen on a taxi or giving a guy a ride unless you meet the requirement of "knowingly" it is easier to understand if you think about sending the Principal a package of contraband and report it. They check the mail on the table, he is in possession but does not meet the "knowingly" part.

I just did a cruise on google and see that the McAfee myth is loosing steam and interest for major news Outlets I/e CNN,ABC,NBC etc. Still activity on minor blogs but mostly re-hash of old stories. He seems to be on his own getting the word out on his blog, "Who is John McAfee,"Hinterland It is a good read, Believe it or not. I don't know his readership, but he will need to step it up if he wants to keep momentum ... We are such adrenaline junkies ... And get bored easily if we don't get our next buzz hit He is the ... Ringmaster of his own domain and drama and I have a feeling he is just setting the table for a the feast to come

Just to use ones imagination, Well the dogs were shot, prior to the murder, could the police have done that? Sad to say the Police are corrupt here, now trying to get tourist to pay $150 to take theft reports. Seems they wanted to get in McAfees wallet for some time. Then could a hit be put out on him? Could they have shot the first gringo they saw? Could the hitmen have got the house wrong? Could something like that happen here? Hell yes. Then if it happened to you would you not be in hiding and afraid to death to turn yourself into the hands of those trying to do you harm? I am not at all saying this is what I think is going on, but some folks do. Just this last year my best friend saw a policeman shoot an unarmed young man in the back, she even gave a report, which was never written, and so it ended bad for the young man. I do find it strange that McAfee still sits in San Pedro, if he were not nuts, he could probably easily get out of Belize. Oh, 90% of all guns licensed here are 9mm, its police issued as well. Strang the police dug up the dogs, cut off thier heads to retrieve bullets. They are all going to be 9mm.

You are exactly right, Cooper. I feel like I am getting a better bigger picture of this whole situation which started long before the raid in April/May. The man is very intelligent and, thankfully, has the money to see this thing to some sort of resolution, and, also, thankfully, has the determination and conviction to take as long as it takes. I look forward to the London Financial news piece which will come out sometime the first week of December. His blog, the comments on each post, in addition to his responses to some of the comments is quite interesting. I have totally changed my impression and interpretation of events. I don't think it is going to really affect tourism to Belize, but it will definitely be worth watching the numbers. Sadly, the US Media aren't true journalists any longer. I had researched enough on my own to learn the same facts that you (Cooper)write about the guns. Not one of the TV, magazine or internet news stories mention the fact that the majority of guns and ammo in Belize is 9mm. It appears the only way to get all the real facts out to the masses is for McAfee to do it exactly as he is doing. And, while to some it looks like the attention has been diverted from the murder victim, in the end, this might be the best way to actually bring the attention to what actually happened and why.

From what I understand, he is wanted for questioning. Not murder. Yes I think the title should be changed.

Maybe change it to "John McAfee wanted in Belize", or better yet "John McAfee not wanted in Belize".

The person who originated the thread is the only one to change the name of the tread......but a new thread can be started that states something in the order of "the GSU is corrupt and framed John McAfee". I find it hard to believe that when the GSU found out that McAfee was allowing his dogs to run free and terrorize neighbors and tourists, they saw the opportunity to go up there, poison just 4 dogs, wait a day and then go in and assassinate Mr Faull with a 9mm pistol so they could frame McAfee for murder,,,,but hey, if Cooper and Wizardofaahs believe that, it must be the truth. The only person that can truly verify the facts is the British journalist from the London Financial news that recently interviewed McAfee, who would not lie The American journalists reported the news....and really didn't care about researching the details of the possibility or probability of McAfee's innocence or guilt....because it's not much of a story compared to current events in a country of over 300 million people. He had his 15 minutes of fame......McAfee won't make it onto the Nancy Grace show and that's a plus for those of us that have just about heard enough about this story. On another note it's interesting to me that a man would leave the US and move to Belize, yet when he gets caught up in a mess like this he asks people to write their Congressmen in an attempt to garner support from the countrymen he abandoned...I guess he doesn't know Belize is part of the Commonwealth and the US or it's political representatives will never have any authority in Belize.
