I was just told, in person, that my dog Tiger, was poisoned while the police were at my property. He fell down in convulsions, with the same symptoms displayed by the four dogs that were poisoned the night before Mr. Faul's death. There were 15 police at my propert during the raid.

I had had Tiger for 9 years. He moved to Belize with me 5 years ago and was the sweetest dog I have ever had. I am not ashamed to admit that I am writing this in tears.

Those who love me did not want to tell me over the phone, and waited til today to tell me in person.

I will post pictures of Tiger when I reeive them.

I am pissed off, hurt and dedicated more than ever to reverse the injustice in this country.

OMG..So sorry , Its a common place thing here by the Dept of health and other officials to use strychnine to poison dogs. Its so sad. What I find even sadder is the attitude of posters on this board has become so sad..the help and advice seems to have become a joke and the post are full of ridicule. This meesageboard was intended to give advice and help, not be nasty and use it for a pastime. I inquired about the negative posting and got a reply saying our messageboard was just a tool for folks to post and make jokes, I was told to lighten up that knowone takes this board serious, That the board was a joke and meant to be just a fun thing.So seems we are outnumbered..I always thouhgt we were helping folks, Times change..so sad...

The Ministry of Health and Belize Police Dept. always use poisoning dogs as a tool to deal with an unwanted population of them. Poisoning dogs is so cruel and inhumane. It is a horrific and painful way to die.

They argue that it is cheaper and more user friendly for them to use this approach.

As for the other, Debbie, thank you for calling it like it is.
