"' Word was out that Belize's Gang Suppression Unit conducted a search raid at John McAfee's house located on North Ambergris Caye, yesterday, Thursday, November 29, 2012. Ambergris Today got word of this from neighbors in the area, but both the police press officer and the head of the GSU say that there was no search at McAfee's property and that in fact, the unit was not even in San Pedro.'

Dog Poisoned During Raid

I was just told, in person, that my dog Tiger, was poisoned while the police were at my property. He fell down in convulsions, with the same symptoms displayed by the four dogs that were poisoned the night before Mr. Faul's death. There were 15 police at my propert during the raid.

I had had Tiger for 9 years. He moved to Belize with me 5 years ago and was the sweetest dog I have ever had. I am not ashamed to admit that I am writing this in tears.

Sooo Sad.

I keep hearing that old Neil Young song about "the first shot hit the dog".

News Five has since received confirmation that a raid was in fact carried out at McAfee's property, but it was done by the Belize Special Assignment Group (BSAG) of police.

Well what a surprise McAfee was telling the truth he speaks more truth than many of you give him credit for,

Wonder why they pillaged his property and confiscated his goods sounds like a robbery more than a raid

McAfee Security Chief Gets Bail

His boss is in hiding, but tonight John McAfee's chief of security William Mulligan is free on bail. As we've reported, on November 14th, Mulligan was charged for multiple counts of kept firearm and ammunition without a license - for which remand is automatic. The firearms were part of an arsenal police found at McAfee's home on northern Ambergris Caye as they investigated the murder of American Gregory Faull. On Sunday 11th November, police found a 12 gauge Remington pump action shot gun loaded with seven cartridges and one Baikal brand 12 gauge single action shot gun. William Mulligan was at the home and charged for kept firearm and ammunition without a gun license for which remand is automatic.

Today, Mulligan's attorney, Ellis Arnold took his bail petition to the Supreme Court before Justice Herbert Lord. Crown Counsel Christophe Rodriguez, who represented the DPP's office objected on the sole ground that while in custody Mulligan told investigators that he was a British National. Rodriguez told the court that if that information was accurate, it meant that Mulligan was a flight risk, which was prosecution's main ground for objecting to bail.

Ellis Arnold produced an authentic copy of Mulligan's immigration document, which verified that he has dual British and Belizean Nationalities, therefore proving that his Belizean ties indicates that he isn't a flight risk.

As a result, the crown withdrew their objection, and Justice Lord granted Mulligan bail of $10,000. The conditions of the bail are that his sureties must be Belizean, he must surrender all of his travel documents, and he must report to all adjournments of his case at court.

So he's out on bail, and John McAfee is still being sought by police. In his comic relief blog McAfee is urging his readers to blitz the Government and the BTB will mail requests to free his associates Eddie Ancona and Cassian Chavarria. Both men had guns licensed in their names which were found in the McAfee arsenal. They were charged for one count each of lending a firearm without a written permission from the Commissioner of Police.

Investigators believe that they weren't lending at all - that they got the licenses on behalf of the McAfee Estate. They reportedly got the guns licensed in the Punta Gorda jurisdiction - quite a distance from San Pedro where they reside.

Marty I wish you would do us all a favor and delete this thread. I think it is important to provide updates about this case and I have no issue with that but to have to come here and read some of the stupid comments that are destructive to this community is getting very old.

This is not about suppressing information it is simply about one person making a mockery of this case and the killing of a person many of us who actually live on this island knew.

Government cover up or drugged out lunatic I have no idea and nothing other than the information properly reported is going to change my mind on that.

Basically what I am saying is lock a thread and post whatever you consider to be news about this and turn off the comments.

So the same group of people under a different name, Belize Special Assignment Group (BSAG) of police, killed the dog. Which one brought the poison? I speculate one of that group shot Faull and killed the other dogs.

Seems like the BSAG is a BDF Special Forces MILITARY group seems McAfee now has in addition to the GSU the POLICE he now has the Belize Defence force on his case.
