Has anyone heard when they are going to make the flight to check on the students on the island and if there is still plans to evacute them off. It seems there was no more responses from the school after 1:00 Maybe I missed reading I've been reading for most of today.

Hi: My name is Pepper Chastain and I served as a Peace Corps teacher at San Pedro High School from 90-93. I am desperately trying to find information on the status of the schools (Angel Nunez' and Martha Guerrero's families), Melanie and Changa Paz's families, Sandy and Willie Leslie and the rangers out at Hol Chan. Does anyone have a link or report at this time? Worried in Texas and ready to walk on water to get down there if the clouds don't break soon. Thanks, PC

I'm certain all are safe, minimal damage at the Paz dive shop, no injuries, so assume the best...

i read the same information from the school's website as you did. i believe it hasnt been updated as it should be informing family members here in the US about the status of the fly-over. if it was cancelled today--will it be taken out tomorrow. i am not satisfied with how the school's officials have handled this situation with the families. i hope that they have done a much better job with the students--because thats what counts. it's very frustrating not being able to find out the correct information. i thank everyone here who is doing their very best to let us know what is happening.
