So...what you are saying is that you have a place 3.5 miles south of town and that the last four times you have used Polos? And that althought the Carts are'nt as new as Monchos, you get a better price and the people are friendly?

We've had 2 great experiences w/ Polo's over T-giving '01, as well.

Both times (one being a *Sunday*) we rented their Monster-Mudder, big wheeler jobby for either $40 or $45 US...and kept the sucker until one minute before quittin' time (5 or 6p).

The second time, I'm glad we had the biggun 'cuz we decided to slosh through the mud pit/sludge pool venturing to the fartherest southern point on the island. The little lady (and the one driving her) was COVERED with god-only-can-guess-what top to bottom. (OK, a teenager dared me all right! In fact, it was a DOUBLE dare! What was I gonna do!?!)

When we returned it, I explained to the guys in the shop in my own brand of Italio-Span-glish...that it wasn't my fault...some big bully came up and pushed us in while we were tying our shoes. They laughed and laughed. (Of course, I may have actually said about the mating rituals of my family members, but...)

Doc are you planning to go to the mainland during your stay? If so Jay at Crystal Auto Rental can get you very fresh cubans. Monticristo's and Cohiba's. I got a 25 pack of MC's shrink wrapped for US $125. I also highly recommend them for auto rental. We have used their cars five times and never had any problems, we even drove to Tikal in Guatemala. Crystal is the only car rental agency in Belize that allows thier auto's in Guatemala.Hope this helps.
