The Sirena Azul (Blue Mermaid) Sailboat, San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize - April 2011. This image was captured from the end of the Wet Wiley's dock mid-day, during brilliant sunshine which helped light-up the sand and water. I use a variety of cameras and lenses depending on conditions and potential hazards. Most of the time it is Canon and it can vary from a simple point & shoot to a full frame DSLR and everything in-between.
For me, it is all about composition, colour, detail and contrast. I try to shoot with low ISO and a very steady camera to increase crisp detail.
I shoot in RAW format and process the images in Lightroom.

For those of you that love AJ's work: we were able to secure rights to 3 of his photos very cheaply and then have them printed on to high quality rot-resistant canvas and framed at the gallery across the street from Fido's. The effect is stunning.
