I just can't figure out how you have such a fine eye for color!! I'm always amazed you taking pictures of things and places I've seen myself but You are seeing so much more clearly and colorfully!

he has more megapixels than you do SS..... and a 'puter to enhance the intensity (though I often see little, if any, evidence of that

Klcman, his megapixels are in his eye for the shot. The man is an artist.

All of my images are "processed". They start out as an idea that I capture in-camera in RAW format and then I create the image in Lightroom. How I process the image is at the whim of my mood on that particular day.

I don't understand. Are you enhancing the colors or changing the colors?

RAW format is similar in concept to a negative. When you convert RAW to JPEG it is similar in concept to printing on paper. In the computer or in the darkroom, the photographer can adjust virtually anything. If your camera shoots directly to JPEG it is making several adjustments automatically that you can control in the camera's menu.
My final images are each processed differently based on my interpretation of what the composition should show. Generally, I adjust contrast, sharpness, exposure, saturation, and noise. Most of the time I shoot full frame and do not crop the image, but again this depends on my mood. When a image strikes my fancy, I may also play around with more artistic styling.

Street Vendor in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize - December 2010Seashell - This image is almost straight out of the camera with a slight bit of cropping. My image sensor is quite sensitive to red. The colours and contrast are well displayed due to the natural and even lighting in the shade. I discovered this scene one afternoon and came back the next day to get the right lighting to make it work. Two critical elements are always the quality of the light and the actual composition of the image elements. The key element of the composition which drew my eye was how the vendor is a small but critical part of the image detail.
