Has anybody attempted or know anybody whom had attempted to or that is currently utilizing hydroponic greenhouse technology on Caye Caulker in any form (large or small scale) ?

Bugs will try to eat your whole crop.
The crabs and lizards will eat your crop instead, along with most of the bugs.
Do you notice many vegetable gardens on CC despite the perfect growing weather?
Our green houses used dark screening instead of glass.
really they are shade houses meant to keep lizards and crabs out but the creatures always win.
The growing media is porous coral sand if you plant in the ground.for free. That makes other potential media not cost effective.
My wife is French. Her family farm in Brittany is about ten acres inside a building , three crops of cucumbers a year. Lot of expertise there, so we fooled around with it.
So did Coco Plum Chris. His Spa was a greenhouse. Shadehouse at first.
You must be patient when you speak with him and never correct him.

It's an uphill battle for sure. Over the years I've seen lots of people try and fail.
The boat from the mainland docks weekly bringing tons of cheap fresh fruit and vegetables. It makes me feel silly putting such a colossal and expensive effort into growing them here.
