Hi all, Hubby and I will arrive on Thursday afternoon for a quick 4 night trip. This will be our third trip, although the last one was in 2009 and the first way back in 2002.

It's our first trip at this time of year. I have a general idea of what the weather will be like, but will we need a sweater or jacket for the evening, or is it still warm enough to walk around with short sleeves? We do plan to bring a thin rain jacket.

This trip we finally plan to do a day trip to Caye Caulker. We have Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to choose from. We planned on picking based on how we feel and weather. But is there a reason to go on one of these days over the other?

And finally, this is kind of a general question, but since we haven't been on the island since 2009, is there anything new we should look for? New can't miss restaurants, bars, or an activity? We will likely have a golf cart for most of our time on the island. We're staying at SunBreeze Suites this trip.

Thanks in advance for any responses. We're both super excited to get there!

Heidi

Hello phieaglefan we are looking forward to your return visit..... I get chilly real easy in the evening...However, this last month I have not needed a sweater at all....It's very warm, even last night I spent some time on the pier in a light sundress.....quite comfortable.

The Sunbreeze is a great location that puts you in the middle of it all....With a Golf Cart you are a short trip North or South....

And of course for the shameless plug; please visit the Black Orchid Restaurant 2.5 miles South....We reopen from the off season on Thursday the 10th....Let us know if you come into the Restaurant I'll be sure and say Hi....

Enjoy your travels....and We'll see you soon!

No need for a jacket for warmth - a rain poncho would be a good idea just in case of showers.
Don't miss KAKAW the new chocolate boutique on front street on the corner by the Primary School. Yummy chocolate and a fabulous array of body-care products made with cocao and other local oils etc. Their chocolate bars are excellent and the cookies are truly a guilty pleasure.

Sorry it took so long to get back. Work was crazy yesterday.

Thanks for your replies.

Judyann, Black Orchid was already on my list of restaurants to try.
Yes, we picked SunBreeze for it's location. Almost stayed there last time but we splurged at the last minute and stayed at the Phoenix. Hubby wanted to stay there again, but flights were pretty expensive this time, and I didn't want to cut back on my Panty Ripper budget!

Diane, Chocolate? Oh yeah! We will definitely stop there. Thanks for the tip!

Can't wait!

FYI
SunBreeze SUITES is not two doors away from the chocolate store. It is across from the Bank. smile

sorry - SUITES, not hotel - my bad.

You'll have to venture a bit farther from your rooms to get the chocolate but you'll have the excuse that you "walked it off" on your way home.

No excuses needed, studies show that dark chocolate is a good source of antioxidants smile
