We are 2.5 mi north. The roads are passable to here (Grand Caribe, Lazy croc, Aji) but it's slow-go after that. I'm not saying they're good, but you won't break an axel coming this far.

We're 3 miles north (Belizean Cove) and went to town and back yesterday. Lots of water-filled holes, but we just take our time.

It's not just semantics people, North and South mean opposite things. It gets rather confusing to tourist who don't know about misuse of the word North on Ambergris Caye.
It's best to look at a map.
