We were told two weeks ago when we were in San Pedro, that the receiver had to pay duty of 50% of the value of the package being sent to them. If no value is put on the package, they would make the receiver pay something. This was told to us by a resident that we had sent stuff to for Christmas. Just for your information.

ps - it is true about the duty. i sent a box of cheap trinkets to some kids i met at xmas time. to send it was $$, then i found out the dad had to pay duty on it.
