This will be our second trip and would really like to explore some of the outer Cayes, are there regular water taxis that will take you to some? Is it better to just hire for the day? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Call Gustavo at Astrum Helicopters. The ONLY way to see the outer islands, Blue Hole, etc!

Or hire a local with a good boat and go fishing and snorkeling, with a beach BBQ and some Belikins.

How would you go about prioritizing which Caye to visit? Just looking for an honest opinion on which ones would be the top choices to visit first with limited amount of time we cannot hit them all. Thanks in advance.

Again was looking for an opinion as to which Cayes are worth a trip to and explore for the day? I love the idea of a helicopter but I was really looking more at spending time on some? I know there is the one that has a golf course on it and didn't know how far it is or whether the course is even open? Any opinions greatly appreciated.

Definitely go over to Caye Caulker for a day. You can take the water taxi over for that. Google Caye Chapel if you are looking for the golf course. If you google the water taxis in San Pedro you can check their schedules to see who runs where.

The best way to island hop and have time to hang on each island is to do a live aboard sailing charter. Charters can go north and south, so you can hit South Water, Tobacco, Coco Plum, Rendezvous, Goff's, Caye Caulker, Ambergris, etc etc. The yachts are floating hotels, all inclusive with chef and skipper, plus completely private, no mixed groups.
