I'm considering coming to Caye Caulker for a week early in April. My plan is mainly to relax and take it slow, with maybe a day or two of diving and a lot of just hanging out. It sounds as though the Split may be closed at that time, though. It seems like that's the primary hangout spot on the island. Is it a good time for me to come to Caye Caulker?

The million dollar question.
Google the uncertainty principle.
Consider the Split as a particle or wave, if you look at or measure it, it changes it.

Caye Caulker is more than just "The Split" I predict that it will reopen by then, but even if its not open for the bar & restaurant business, the swimming and beach area will still be open. Plus there are more places to hang out and relax than just the split.
