My fiancé and I will be in Belize June 30th and on Ambergris Caye beginning July 9th to get married on the 10th. Since it's just the two of us, I was wondering if there might be any hashers (Hash House Harriers) on the island who could stand in as witnesses for us? Mat has been hashing since the 1990's and his home kennel is Kuwait City. This would be a wonderful surprise for him Please let me know. Thank you!

K8 - I was so intrigued by your post I googled Has House Harriers. What a fun idea. If we do not have a Hash house here on the island maybe your fiancé could get one started while he is here.

Thanks for your response! Hashing is so much fun and wonderfully inclusive. It's a great way to meet people. I think starting a kennel is a great idea and maybe that is something we could do while we are there - we'll be there thru July 21st. Kate

There have been hash runs in Belize, mostly on the mainland, so there must be members around somewhere. I think it was more popular when BATSUB (British Army Training Support Unit Belize) was here. Try these links for any contacts...

There is still a BATSUB presence at Price Barracks. It's just so much smaller than it used to be.
