We will be in a condo at playador. Right across the street from the Barefoot Iguana.
Sunday evening i'll bet we will be at Palapa
if they still have the jam sessions.

Richard, Glad you got everything settled---We'll be there Sun 30th about 4 or 5 pm
Palapa is north of the cut (right??) so what time does the ferry quit running??
Guess the water taxi would be better????

Yes, you have to use the hand ferry. Not sure when it stops running.Don't know about boat ride to palapa.
Monday nites there is live music at the bar at playador.

Hey Richard - what does conch taste like? Are they anything like abalone? One of the first things I am going to do when I get there is order some conch fritters...kinda curious what I'm in store for tho.

Nothing like Abalone, Conch is tender and very tasty. You need to hurry when you get there though, Conch season ends the end of June. But not to worry, Lobster will be plentiful! You must try the Conch Cervichi (sp ?).

IMHO the best conch fritters on AC are at Caliente's. Eat some for us! P.S. Believe the hand-ferry stops running at 8 p.m.

you guys are getting me psyched for my trip! just read the whole Pica Pica thread and was filled with dread...but with talk of conch, lobster, drinks, live bands - oh yeah and some diving thrown in, it looks like we're gonna have fun... (June 26-July4th).
