Hi all -

We have two families traveling to San Pedro in about a month - there are 9 of us in total. (lots of kids!) -- We found Tropic Ferry who offers a ride direct from airport to SP, but I hear they're out of business. We are looking to have a private ferry that hopefully goes direct from airport to SP. We just have a lot of kids and a lot of stuff, and rather than trying to huff it to one of the main ferry terminals, we'd like to simplify as much as possible.

(the other family traveling with us is reluctant to get on smaller planes... this is why we are going ferry which will be fun anyways!)

There is a new private ferry service from BC to San Pedro that started in April or May, I think. The girl who used to work for Tropic Ferry is running it. Right now I'm on the road and don't have the contact information with me but I'll be back this Sunday and will post what I have. I took a trip on Tropic Ferry in February and the Captain told me about the new service. I wrote down all the info that was available at that time. The owner or manager's name is Michelle.

I wasn't aware that Tropic Ferry went out of business but can't say I'm not surprised. Trying to run any business in Belize from the USA is not going to work.

Tropic Ferry is still in business. I rode with them recently.

They do not respond to reservation requests or e-mail. Do you have a phone number for them?

I'll hunt for the numbers I used and post them ...
