i recall a day in 1993 when the Town Board distributed "addresses" to everybody in the town core. Wood signs about 12" wide and 4" high.... painted white with black numbers on them. Southwind was located where Yo-Mama is now ...... i think the address was 10 1/2. The streets were still front, middle and back then ...... and made of white sand ........ Estelle's was in Fidos and the Barrier Reef Hotel overlooked central park. Not sure why we needed addresses then but for a while it was the talk of the town. a nice time to be here.
