Shelter in the time of Covid-19Shelters may not offer the best social distancing options. There may be less spaces available or spaces only for families. When making your hurricane plans, make a supply box with dry goods (masks, sanitizers, flashlight, batteries, candle, lantern, radio, meds.) and can food in addition to bottles of water. Filling the tub and kitchen sink with water is recommended as there may not be water services immediately following a storm. Perhaps scouting places to stay aside from the schools used as Government shelter should be part of your preparation.
