How is everyone? We saw the picture posted by KOKO King with the waters receding. What is the status? Our Prayers are with everyone.

All Good. We're 3 rows back from east shore, just south of the village and nothing to report here. Sirens were sounded and folks were alerted.

WARNING is much different than a WATCH. Warning means there is one.....where is it??
Tsunamis happen on the Pacific side of the continent we haven't had one in Belize recorded history unless you count the one that killed the dinosaurs but NEMO issued an erroneous WARNING last night that had people closing business, climbing to the rooftops and advising people to take their boats out in the dark into the deep open ocean. The NEMO folks are a pack of dangerous fools.
Low tide and a Northern wind at the same time like we had last night always make the water recede more than usual. Chicken Little Strikes Again!

They move at 500 or so mph, so it would have hit before most people were notified.

Thanks to a friend we use http://www.tsunami.gov/ for as close to facts as we can get. The warning for the Belize Cayes & Coast in message #2 was clear that the Tsunami surges would be between .03 to 1 meter above the tide..... That is just about 3ft. .... Unless I misunderstood the message I'm pretty sure were most safe....
