I'd like to know where these houses are. So far the only one I see is by cinderblock house on the main road coming out. It is extremely small, on a very WET area that would fill up to the road with water during rainy season!! The price of those lots is ridiculously priced at $60,000.

I saw about 7 houses in the area (not including structures on the Secret Beach) with a variety of construction materials used and various methods of power generation. Lots are priced from about $15,000 and many are around the $20,000 USD price point.

There is an eco home model on the main road going out to Secret Beach. You can't miss it... on the left side. The new one going up is just off the main road not far from there.

I have. It was lovely. Great location, nice vibes, good music. Beach is gorgeous (of course) and Alex is delightful. The food was enjoyable at a decent price. Definitely worth a trip. We plan to go again soon.

We'll be on AC for four days in Jan. This time we decided to stay at Mata Rocks Resort. We'll take a golf cart ride out to Secret Beach, and also have a looksy at our two lots near there again.

If anyone follows San Pedro Scoop on Facebook, they had an update on the Secret Beach area the other day. New home near Blue Bayou, the Casa Nova Cabanas look really nice. It seems there are some other new accommodations and developments in the works as well for the coming year.

While I'm not sure of the numbers of Belizeans owning lots in the area, I do know that my husband is Belizean as well as US citizen. He has two lots out there that he bought 10 yrs ago at a very good price. His aunt ( also Belizean) also owns two lots in the area. Our plan is to build two properties: one for us, and another for vacation rental in the future (7-8yrs).
