Eight persons who arrived into the country last Friday at the PGIA have tested positive for COVID-19. Their status came from a rapid test, which was later confirmed by a PCR test.
The eight, who are from a family of 12 that qualify as "second home" owners in Belize.
They have been allowed to self-quarantine in the Cayo District.
This now makes ten travellers total who have come into the country and tested positive at the airport. Over 4500 have arrived since the start of this month.
