Been going to SP for many, many years. Still go at least once a year over the last 5 years, just have gotten shy in my old age and don't post anymore. Would love to know if most restaurants and bars are still open during this awful covid 19 disaster. I'm gonna be there next Friday.Thank you for any info you regulars can give. Much appreciated! Zeke

Also the Belize Tourism Board says you need a negative PCR test. When I went to Alaska I just need a rapid test which I took the day before. They do not make a rapid PCR test. ANy suggestions on that? Do I have to get tested at BZE instead? Thanks again! Zeke

Hi. We are having a pretty serious rain event in country so we are preoccupied.
Yes you need to come with a negative PCR test in hand that is less that 72 hours old. Or you will be required to be tested at the airport with a fee of $50USD and you will have to await the results before you can leave the airport. If you test positive you will be quarantined, at your cost for 2 weeks. So ideally get your test before you leave the US.

Zeke I am new to the message board and saw your post. I am wondering how your trip went. Were restaurants and business open? How war you airport experience with the new check in procedures?

I am also going to this area soon and would be very grateful if you could tell me how your trip went. Have restaurants been open and is a test needed?
