U.S.-Funded, UN-Coordinated Project Will Strengthen Crime Data Sharing in Belize

We are proud to Stand With Belize in strengthening data sharing among key agencies working to combat crime in Belize through the USAID - US Agency for International Development funded InfoSegura program. U.S. Embassy U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Intl Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL) Coordinator Mary Walz joined UNDP Belize Deputy Resident Representative Ian King today to hand over high-tech ICT equipment to the Ministry of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries.

The donated equipment, valued at US$26,760, will help authorities to quickly access crime data to better detect, prevent, and prosecute criminal offenses. The USAID-funded donation is part of the United States' broader efforts to help make Belize - and the wider region - safer from crime.
