Many repeat visitors on this board, and we have many other places we could go, but it is our choice to go to BELIZE, often.

You too, have a choice, go or don't.

If you would not use the language you used maybe it might be still there..
Especially if you are LAWYER!!!!!!!!!
You are an a... for using that language,
Kids read this board too...
Take care on how you right and maybe that wouldn't happen.....

I think its your turn to lighten up a bit, don't you think? We lawyers are real people ... why by golly, some of us even speak real English, you know...like just plain folks!
I don't feel it incumbent upon me to censor myself quite that severely, nor do I feel required to dumb down what I say to the level of what might be appropriate for an 8 year old...I assume that if kids are reading this board its because their PARENTS have given them approval to do so.
Still, I agree that "asshole" is a fairly strong condemnation and I don't use it often. But once in a while...it just cries out to be said. In this case, the somewhat crude (and repetitive and inane) attacks on "fat Americans" seemed to be one of those occasions. If that bothers you...well...you know the drill..

But, I would urge you to ask for the email addresses of a few of the countless individuals who have posted to this message board praising AC.
They are honest people too, you know. My email address would not be appropriate as I live on AC and own a business.

Those of you who get bent out of shape when inappropriate/offensive content is deleted should remember that this message board is paid for with advertising dollars from businesses on Ambergris Caye. You get to read it for free.

99.99% of what is posted is not deleted even though some of the content is not complimentary to AC (desertdiver is just one example). I think it makes the board interesting and fun to read provided it is honest criticism rather than constant grudge carping weeks or months after the vacation of the unhappy camper has ended.

i have nothing to sell. never did. i really am a housewife. i did go back. and went back again. and took a friend who wants to go back.

i was the first to say JE wasn't good.

so, i don't see where you r coming from. i invited idaho back to say whatever he wanted, didn't i?

say what you want, we know what we know.

anyone who thinks NOTHING should be deleted should look at the long trail of dead message boards ruined by repeated trash being posted.

people getting folks to write to them, so that they can poison their thoughts about vacationing in Belize, with the expressed purpose of reducing Belize tourism.

there can be live viruses on message boards, folks who "get to know you", and then spread their poison around. that is why email addresses don't show on this board.

so choose your advice carefully. and just because someone rips on the island does NOT make them trustworthy.

this board is for public discussion of issues related to the island. i guarantee one thing, NO GROUP LOVES IT ALL THE TIME. No businessman loves it all the time. no public official loves it all the time. i am in no one's pocket.

but i love to work for the island. i kiss the sand when i land and i tear up everytime i arrive or leave. because i love the island, i have to be choosy sometimes. Like Chris said, 99.9% is left on, good or bad, and no one loves it all the time.

tis better to respond than purge is my motto. but sometimes i simply must purge if it is crazy information like there are dead horses on all the beaches, or trash on all the beaches, cops pulling people out of their golf carts by the hair at every corner, i have seen these and much more.

now its all water under the bridge. yell and scream about it all you want, but i have to do what i have to do.

c'est la vie. Long Live La Isla Bonita, its amazing and beautiful people, and its natural wonders. Come and see us, you will only regret you didn't come sooner....

I have a comment I would like to make and I don't care if you delete or not.
So--DesertDiver--you probably live there(the desert) because no one will put up with your whining.
I think you should stick to the geriatric cruise lines where you can bitch about the toilet paper being to scratchy in you room.
Actually they build resorts for people like you--Sandals is one--where people get paid to listen to your uniformed ineptness..-I used to call it mandatory fun--lets watch the whiner self destruct.
FYI--I love Belize and everything about it--I am now a Belizean--When you take that cruise ship and a sailboat comes longside, I will be the one mooning you.Come see me at the bar. I am not a nick. I am real and suffer the consequences of my rantings.
Find another place to get rid of your frustrations. We got our own problems.

Jeez -like many of those who pay lip service to free speech, Sun - tells all and sundry to 'shut the **** up' like some nasty drunk in a bar. Then has a fit when HIS free speech is censored - like when that nasty drunk gets chucked out of the bar. I see that free speech is valuable - when it is MINE!

Now the bwai stands outside the bar and rail up some more! Go head, rail up! You still have your free speech - from outside the bar.

Marty, you've done a GREAT job with this board and your judgements come from a place of HIGH morals and values. Why don't you lawyers start your own thread and debate each other??? And Susangg, as far as Rick's request on the language thing....in the recent past weeks, i have had people, adults and teens, walk into my places of business openly using words like f-ing this and that, to he## with this, that..etc....WHEN in this society did it become OK to use profanity in public???? This is a "public" forum. We don't need terrorists in this country...surely they can see we terrorize ourselves just fine!! And Sun..."Fat A...Americans?? Where are you from???
