Does anyone have any suggestions about
ordering groceries before getting to your destination. We were thinking about getting the improtant ones like beer, pop, water and snacks.
How are the prices? And what beer is like
bud/miller lite? Any price lists

This is a service that Caribe Island offers. We will take your grocery list and get your items and stock your kitchen prior to your arrival. At CIR, we do it for cost plus 10%, and it beats running into the grocery store on arrival day!!

Depending where you are is the key to your question. If you are going to be in San Pedro, half the fun is hoofing it around to the little Mom and Pop stores and just picking up what looks good. Don't forget the fruit stands for breakfast (to buy, take home and cut up for breaky). The pineapple is SO good. There's less availabilty far south, and even less far north, but every hotel should be able to provide you with what you need to get you started. Lagniappe apparently has a service, and if they have a service as good as their gumbo, it should be great. But, you really don't need to do it. But, it again depends upon where you are staying. I'm not fond of beer, wine for me (see Wine Devine), but there is a place right near my hotel of choice that will deliver. I have to bow to someone else on the name of that. Have fun.

I took a look at Laqniappe website and
they state that a min order of 150 for delivery. Now I dont think beer, pop, water and a few snack
will amount to 150. Ill have to check with
them to confirm. But if thats the case thats
nuts.

I hadn't seen that part....but what i just read said $200us minimum...i guess if you have a large group and want beer/wine snacks for a large visit?? Looks like a great idea..but you are right 150-200$$ minimum sounds a bit pricey....

Yipes! That's one heck of a lot more expensive than the gumbo!!! OK, so do yourself a favor, just get a snack at the hotel, and hoof it on down the beach and you will have no problem. Honest, trust me, unless you are way out either way, it'll work. There's shops and restaurants just about everywhere.

Yes; recommend you try Richie's Supermarket (Save for Less?) just 2-ish blocks west of Blue Tang - it is NOT the pink supermarket - that one is quite expensive. Richie's is next to Castillo's Hardware. Just west of Richie's is a great local restaurant, Los Cocos - whole fried snapper is wonderful and only $5-7US. Happy trip.
