Anyone read the Belize article in this month's Rodale's magazine? Good article, but what is he talking about,"you wouldn't go to Ambergris for the nightlife"? I had a great time there at night! Beach BBQs, live music and dancing. Geez, I wonder if he even bothered to stick around for long?

i see that description now & again, it isnt directed at folks like us. it is directed to the 'lets go clubbing' crowd. now, while ac has casinos & discos, face it: it ain't caesar's and studio 54. some folks like that, some dont.

stating the obvious, while AC is just perfect to you & i, it may not be to the for someone else. this is fine be me. lets keep it that 'best kept secret'!

I wondered that myself, Ms. Coconuts. Nice little article on AC and atolls, and a great advertisment for Journey's End. The author stated that finally after 3 days, he and adult daughter decided to check out the action in San Pedro - lunch action. Lunch and souvenir shopping, then back to JE. I didn't understand how he could gage the nightlife from one afternoon spent in SP.

Hey sweetJane! Yeah, i agree about keeping it the "best kept secret". It scares me though, with articles like these, the word might get out and then where would we go?

y'know, we stayed at JE in 2000, and didnt like it much. and you feel literally trapped there being so north of the cut. that was one reason i switched to caribe island. all the seclusion & beauty of the north with an easy, fun cart ride to town. damn, there is a lot of spillage in 'to go' cups anymore.

i heard JE went below Lan's top 10's.....

Heck, we managed to find plenty of nightlife both this year and last year. Besides doing the fun golf cart pub crawls we stumbled (literally) into foam night the first night on AC this year. Plus partied at places like Jaguars, Canucks, Fidos, Dockside, Sharks and more. There was definitely enough nightlife to kill a whole bunch of brain cells, produce a plethora of mystery bruises, cloud a lot of memories and produce serious Beliken withdrawls upon returning stateside. Trust me, my group goes no where that doesn;t have a nightlife... then again we are good at creating our own parties! We are good at daylife and morninglife too.. 151 jello shots for breakfast anyone???
