My husband & I are fans of the Florida Keys and just got back from there in June, but thought we would try something different next year. Did a bunch of research and came up with AC. Anybody have any thoughts on the best time of year to go to AC confused

This can be a tough question believe it or not. It all depends on you. Every season has its' pros and cons. Roughly May to October is the low season and rates are at their least expensive. But, you also have to put up with some mosquitoes.... but then again, it all depends where you stay. The town of San Pedro sprays and they aren't too bad actually.

The high season roughly runs from November to April, with Peak season running mid-December to usually the day after New Year's.

Personally, I always enjoyed the high season.

Most anytime is a good time to visit. I live about 1 1/2 miles south of the airport and unless it's VERY still, don't have a problem with the mosquitoes. April, May & June are especially nice, but then most of the year is except some of us locals get a bit chilly in January, cool

Thanks for the info -- guess we'll just flip a coin smile What about the Seven Seas resort? Their rates during low season seem to be really good, especially if you book it directly online confused

We just got back from AC and really enjoyed Banyan Bay. Good rates for 2 bedroom, and nice beach, within walking distance of town. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

we*ve stayed at the seven seas every year for the past 4 years---sometimes twice a year--and we love it. no bar, no restaurant, but a nice pool and its very quiet. Its a good 10 minute walk from downtown, which we like --lets you walk off dinner or the effects of Fidos--also--it backs up on Papi*s==one of our favorite places to eat==they*ll even deliver to your room
