We've been to AC a couple of times and love it. We are trying to bring our senior in high school with a couple of friends to SP for their spring break. It is the first week of April 2004. Am I crazy to think there will be kids the same age to hang and party with? I think they would have a blast but they are afraid there won't be other 18 yr olds around. Any one planning to be there around that time?

Sorry to burst your bubble (so to speak), but I personally would hate to see AC turn into a spring break haven. That would suck.

Well Pedro's Inn is being rented by sororities and fraternities for the up coming year-perhaps we could look on it that young people are allowed to enjoy AC at a reasonable price but not in so much luxury as others.

Tell them not to worry. There will be plenty of folks for them to make friends with and party with. If not the locals, other spring breakers........ I took a 16 year old, and he definately did not lack for companions.

thanks for the support Debbie. I told him I would take him to the Caribbean for his Sr. year spring break. We don't want to do the big Cancun thing, it is not our style. He is a pretty laid back kid and easy to please, he has a couple of friends who want to come with us but he wants to meet some new people, have some fun and do the island thing. The nightlife in AC would make him plenty happy as long as he doesn't have to dance with just his mama.

Your son is a very lucky guy!!! I had wanted to do the same for my son his senior year. (He's now 18 as well, but graduated in May and will be 19 in December)but, his senior year wiped us out. Senior pictures, yearbooks, Homecoming dance, winter ball, prom, graduation, graduation gift, invivtations, new car etc. ...... Not to mention his freshman brother!!! OUCH!! Still trying to catch our breath. There is so much for them to do and see. It will be a memory maker for sure. I hope they have a wonderful time. My son thought he died and went to heaven when we took him at 16. Have you thought about getting him dive certified before you go? My son just ached to try diving, but I didn't think about it, and didn't feel comfortable getting a quickie 3 three day cert in a swimming pool. I don't dive, but he was sick he didn't get to learn. Sailing and fishing is wonderful!!!
