I don't sell travel insurance but I do send all clients links so they can purchase it, and recommend it strongly. You need an insurance license to actually sell it. They could have purchased it directly from Cayo Espanto as well but did not do that either.

At this point the clients are only looking to reschedule, not get a refund, but CE will only do that if they can re sell the space. The clients knew this going into it. Can't believe they didn't get the insurance for their 12K honeymoon (without air! - they purchased that on their own)

is someone saying they chose the wrong career path?

Are you serious? (not being scarcastic) I will let my clients know if you are. Have you looked into air? There are some good deals right now, but not sure if you could get them without a 7 day advance. They may go for it. Looks like they are going to lose the whole thing otherwise.

Just a thought and probably too late, but if they could donate it to a charitible organization. They could save a chunk on there taxes. 25% of $6300 (not sure)? Maybe the lions club or some other local group that could auction if off to a local for a few hundred bucks or what ever. Would not really matter since they could write off the whole $6300 in any case...

Is Cayo Espanto an island near Ambergris Caye or is it a town on Ambergris Caye? On the Cayo Espanito web site it says it is located just 3 miles rom San Pedro which made me question island or town?
