Taca and American airlines very uncooperative with disaster relief foodstuff in luggage to Belize. They forced me to empty bag with canned food which I pleaded with them as being necessary for residents of Caye Caulker. They held me to the usual maximum. TWO BAGS with the usual maximum lenght and weight. I GOT NO ears FROM THESE FOLKS for the hurricane victims at the cayes in Belize. They really don't care.

American is giving us cargo space on a stand-by basis from DFW. They were probably held to regulations about taking food to other countries. Our first load will be about Wednesday. See "ORGANIZERS" thread for locations to drop off supplies to be included in American's offer.

I am working through the "American Airline Foundation Assistance Program" and have been led to believe that they are in the spirit of things with this. Dry foods and staples are what I have been told to pack as well as clothing and medical supplies.
Will hope for a better experience! If I get it all to Houston, and can't get it our from there, I'll call a Houston contact to pick it up at airport! A hurdle is a hurdle...NOT A ROADBLOCK!
