I have contacted several resorts about availability and general info...some a week or more ago and not a single response...is this normal? Should I try again or wait a little longer...Resorts in other destinations have responded so I am assuming that my emails are getting out and in....Any advice or problems anyone knows about? Thanks again!

If you are sending from AOL the problem is probably AOL. Sometimes they don't send and sometimes they block reception of mails from other domains. You will not get a notice from them telling you that they are blanket-blocking, they just do it.
If the address is "BTL" you could be having delivery problems due to BTL, which is not so hot either.
Try again and don't forget that you can call - it's not such an expensive thing to do, and the personal contact may be helpful.

You should try Caribe Island Resort. www.caribeisland.com. They have a calendar for each suite that show availability. It is the best place to stay. The staff is wonderful. It is right on the beach away from town. The restaurant sits out on the pier over the water-awesome!!!!!!!! Great food. Super bartenders. Tell Albert "hello" for me. Bicycles, anything you need, they will arrange. You will love it. We have been twice since last March and will return again this March. You can't go wrong there. Have a great trip!

janetdr, I haven't been getting mails from san pedro either & ended up having to call the resorts yesterday. It does seem to be an AOL thing, but BTL isn't the greatest company either & I know others have said they have had trouble as well. To get the info, it's worth the call.
